Services

Our dental professionals across each of the practices have extensive expertise in a wide variety of fields, gained from years of training as well as practical experience. These fields include dental implants, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry and much more.

As it is essential to us to provide the best treatment, we need to know your full history, your requirements and your expectations. At your initial consultation, we will spend time talking about all the issues so we have a clear picture of what you want, not what we think you should have.

Consultations

Your first appointment with one of our clinicians will be a consultation for you to talk through your main concerns and what changes you would like to make to your teeth and smile. We can then advise and discuss with you what are likely to be the most appropriate options for you. During this appointment, we may also need to take x-rays, photos and models to ensure we have the best possible treatment plan suited for your needs.

X-Rays play an invaluable role in diagnosis, but many people are concerned about exposure to x-ray radiation. Because of this, we have invested in the very latest digital x-ray system that eliminates these worries, as it requires 90% less radiation than conventional film x-rays. Images can be shown immediately on a computer screen with digital pictures.

Dental Implants

Dental implants have been around for a long time and are a well-established form of treatment. Many people choose dental Implants as they look, feel and function like natural teeth.

Dentures, Crowns & Bridges

Dentures

Many people lose some or all of their teeth. Dentures, whether full or partial, are a removable solution for the replacement of multiple missing teeth, be that a few or a full set. This is the treatment of choice if there are insufficient teeth to support a bridge. Several impressions of the mouth are taken using various types of putty. These are then cast into a mould which is used by a laboratory to manufacture your denture.

Crowns

Crowns are used to restore both anterior and posterior teeth that have either been broken or are at high risk of breaking due to factors such as oversized fillings or fractures. There are a variety of materials available to construct these, such as gold, porcelain bonded to metal, or all ceramic.

Bridges

Bridges are fixed or non-removable prosthesis constructed to replace one or more missing teeth. Either one or both teeth adjacent to the space are used to anchor the bridge to restore function as well as appearance. Like crowns, bridges can be made of porcelain bonded to metal or all ceramic. Because there is interference with the adjacent teeth, more and more people are opting for dental implants as an alternative to sacrificing sometimes healthy teeth.

Six Months Smiles

A clear fixed brace system that aligns teeth to address cosmetic concerns in a reasonable amount of time – on average, 6 months. The system is designed for adults who are concerned about crowded teeth, gaps or spaced teeth, badly rotated teeth and protruding or tipped teeth.

Tooth Whitening

Many people feel that their smile lets them down, and this can be a source of embarrassment or anxiety. Perhaps there was no opportunity to have braces as a child, maybe the teeth were damaged in an accident, or possibly accumulated wear and tear has just taken its toll. Advanced modern dentistry offers the chance to transform a smile and thus the facial appearance. And we find that when you have a better smile, you use it more often!

Periodontics – Gum Treatment

Gums are the foundation of the teeth. Gum disease leads to the destruction of the bone supporting the teeth. Resolving gum disease improves your oral heath, enhancing your smile and prolonging the life of your teeth. Advanced gum disease leads to spacing between your teeth and unsightly red bleeding gums. Usually, it is also accompanied by bad breath or ‘halitosis’.

Endodontics – Root Fillings

Endodontics is the branch of dentistry more commonly referred to as root canal treatment. A root filling may be recommended by your dentist for several reasons.

The pulp of the tooth (the internal connective tissue) can become can become infected by decay within the tooth, which can spread to form an abscess. The pulp can also be damaged due to trauma. Root fillings are a way to preserve the tooth when the removal of the pulp is indicated.
