Oral Surgery

Oral Surgery

Oral Surgery is the branch of dentistry that includes the removal of teeth. Sometimes teeth can be more complicated to extract due to their position, shape or condition. Wisdom teeth (the teeth at the very back of the mouth) can be particularly difficult. Our specialists have a huge range of experience in both the hospital and dental practice environment.

Using the latest digital x-ray technology, the complexity of the extraction can be assessed and treated accordingly. We are also able to offer conscious sedation for extractions.

An apicoectomy is a surgical technique carried out under local anaesthetic that can be used to remove part of an infected root below the level of the gum, enabling the lifespan of the tooth to be increased.
